I enjoyed spending some time in some classrooms and at student events this week. I got to observe Ms. Hambelton’s classroom at Pinkston where she utilized some Kagan strategies for increasing student engagement. I got to see the trout aquarium Mr. Tardiff uses in science lessons at the high school. The junior high had a successful career day event – featuring some fantastic community partners – at ASUMH and the fairgrounds. Our annual extended advisory mentorship day was Wednesday at MHHS. More than 70 community members pour into our students through this program, and it’s a special thing to see.
I want to remind you all that we will not have school for students on Friday, April 15 or Monday, April 18.
Have a wonderful weekend.
