Bomber Nation,

When we return to school on Monday, it will be May, and we all know how quickly that goes by. So many enriching end-of-the-year activities are on the horizon. While we wrap up this year, our staff is already busy planning for next year. Our building administrators are beginning conversations with teachers and staff about transition opportunities for students this summer. We want kids who are moving from grade level to grade level or building to building to feel prepared and have opportunities to learn about their upcoming school building or grade level before school begins. We’ll share more information about these transition opportunities when formalized plans are complete.

This week Mrs. Partney, our GT coordinator, shared a presentation with families at a stakeholder meeting about some potential (and some required) changes to the Pre-AP program for next year. I’m attaching her presentation. If you have any questions, please feel free to email Mrs. Partney at mpartney@mhbombers.com

As we work on scheduling students for classes, I wanted to mention that if we have any families interested in their children participating in Bomber Virtual Academy next year (our virtual learning program), they can email Mrs. Becca Camp at rcamp@mhbombers.com or call her at 425-1299 to get more information.

Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week! I am excited to announce that Mountain Home PTO will provide a breakfast sandwich from McDonald’s to EVERY MHPS FACULTY AND STAFF MEMBER on Monday morning as a fantastic kick-off to a week of celebrating our amazing educators. We appreciate PTO for this kindness and all the other services the organization provides our students and staff all year long.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Jake
